Hanging at the Station
Our gig at the Pompton Lakes train station was fun but again, very few passersby. Maybe because the train no longer runs! Still, a good time was had by all and some of our new material went over very well. Especially Angel Eyes, a slow, bluesy number that belongs somewhere in a film noir classic...

Pompton Lakes Gig a scorcher...
We played our first of three gigs in downtown Pompton Lakes for the Chamber of Commerce. It was record setting heat and that really kept traffic down. The music was good nonetheless. With the heat we did two sets and finished early (sorry to those who came later and we were packed up and gone). We had a guest appearance from Susan Rockwell who sang three songs with us - Route 66, Halellujia, and At Last. She did a great job as usual. A very sound, warm voice and she really ties into the group's feel and visa versa... A pleasure for the group and listeners alike to have her sit in!
Our next gig is August 28th, again in Pompton Lakes but over by the train station - a nicer spot, across from Monica's restaurant, Come on by...

Recent News! Well, everyone had a great time as usual at the Farmers Market. This is a great venue, one of our favorite outdoor spots. A little rain threatened but just a few drops fell. Carrie and her mom Isabella came and enjoyed the music. We saw Melissa and Max and Susan too. Nice to have such devoted fans (OK maybe they are a bit biased, but hey, we'll take it!).
Come see and hear us at our next gig on Saturday July 24th noon to 4pm. This will take place outdoors in downtown Pompton Lakes, courtesy of the Chamber of Commerce. Come down and support the merchants - and us :-)

May 8th gig a blast
So we played our gig on May 8th in support of the local firehouse. Was a lot of fun and Greg Dawson sat in on pedal steel and harmonica. Thanks Greg! Jazz on pedal steel. Was a nice change and we like doing things a little differently sometimes. Greg has a super ear... great solo on All of Me.
Rain threatened early but retreated in the face of our indomitable sound.... Still, the wind picked up - literally picked up - our canopy and threw it over our heads into the firehouse wall. We kept playing and finished the song and then the set. I guess we just blow them away.... :-)
See you at our next gig Saturday June 12th 10am-noon at the Ringwood Farmers Market on Cannici Drive in Ringwood (next to the library).
